Hallo to everyone, Sorry for my English:cry: I live near Lausanne and now have a Riff Aquarium since 1yr. I have kept aquarium for more than 20yrs in UK. Hope you like my aquarium... I plan to start a new 1000ltr Riff soon:grin:
Hello Ridgeway Its a really nice AQ. Congratulation I have a question: How many liters does the AQ have? I love it when it is so colourful like yours. Liebe Grüsse(thats how kisses in UK) ShadowHaek
Hi... And welcome - Swiss don't kiss everybody as you might have noticed... ;-) Shadow, do you mean "greetings"? Cheers, Nora
Don't worry I start to understand and appreciate Swiss culture now, The AQ is 350ltr but I am currently planning a new 1000ltr Riff for this year:shock:
POM on board .... ?? Greetings from Eastern Switzerland, Mate your tank looks great and i am getting some holiday diving vibes again. Your fault! Need to go back to gods country, Oz. Have fun in the Forum and attempt occasionally to display some knowledge of a German word or two as the locals get pretty narky otherwise and on occasion have been known to blast a fellow Swiss for using Swiss German rather than the approved and mandated Hochdeutsch. Of course being a POM, you might be excused. Again welcome on board. Cheers
Hello and welcome How do you like Switzerland? Where do you come from UK?? PS. Swiss culture is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwLEGLXOqok smile:lol:
Hello Ridgeway, your aquarium looks really great, congratulations. Have you got much work with this aquarium? Greetings Claudia
Many thanks for these kind words, much appreciated. Yes I am English and from Manchester where you get 2 choices as a child Manchester United or Manchester City, I chose Fish:-D I am here with my family (wife and 4 daughters) and we very much appreciate this wonderful country. It is a shame for me that UK has not been able to keep some of the values that I find here in Switzerland, it truly is a fantastic country live in. My aquarium takes me 1hr each week for maintainance and maybe 5mins each day, not so much. I have in the past kep many different types of fish from South American Cichlids, Amazon Community, Tanganyikan (rift valley) and my first Marine fish in 1987. Now I get the chance to start again so that all my children can be part of the enjoyment whilst they learn so much about science & nature. Some pictures for you to enjoy,
Manchester I think you will find that you had other choices as well, such as Tandoori .... You just wanted to get your daughters away from the Ogres and into Switzerland ... admit it! :-D Great photos by the way .... when will you show the daugthers ...
Hy Ridgeway You have a awesome Aquarium. The most of the Users here, have a "Freshwater-Aquarium". but thats not important. I believe, that Saltwater-Aquariums are more expensiv, than Freshwater- Aquariums. But is it difficulter to hold Saltwaterfishes?
If you read/study before you buy one and then make the correct work after with quaranteen it is normally OK. Technology and knowledge today helps a lot today and more fish are bred in captivity and these are easier to keep. I agree that keeping sea water fish is more expensive, some times very expensive, but I spend more money on corals than fish:shock: this is very easy to do and actually I find that corals are easier to keep than fish
wow! super tank, super pictures, super colours. i like it. it is one of the nicest aq! what is the different between ManU and ManCity? ManU = football club for poor people (worker) and ManCity for rich people (manager and so one)? like inter milano and ac milano?
For Mark, It's more like the difference between Catholic and Protestant: both believe football is religion just that there are different places to worship
Hi there Welcome to Aquarium.ch. Hope you have a nice time here. ;-) If i'd speak english i wouldn't live in Lausanne :-D By the way: Nice AQ you got Greetings from Switzerlands east Yves
